Belpac to operate as independent entity
Aims to be UK’s leading second-tier packaging company
UK packaging and contract packing specialist Belpac is to become an independent company in its own right having operated as a subsidiary for over 20 years. The new owner, Kevin Howley, who acquired Belpac from household and toiletries manufacturer Jeyes, believes the company will benefit from the freedom to focus on its core business and hopes to transform it into the UK’s leading second-tier packaging company.
“Beyond the huge tier-one packaging companies who churn out prodigious quantities of packaging from their high fixed cost bases, the packaging sector is fragmented and many are struggling,” commented Howley. “We see great opportunities for profitable growth through sector consolidation, closer engagement in just-in-time supply chains and broadening our range of products and services to the client base.”
