Ex Lauder PCPC chairman will focus on industry icons

Dan Brestle, chairman of the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) will get this year’s HBA Global Expo & Conference underway on Tuesday 28 June 2011 with the event’s keynote speech.

Brestle will present an inside view on how to build iconic brands, paying tribute to the industry’s founding icons and the challenges they faced and overcame. He will also examine current opportunities and the issues brands may confront, including government regulation and the complexities in global business and digital communications.

Brestle worked with the Estée Lauder Companies for over 30 years before becoming chairman of the board of directors of the PCPC. He is recognised as being one of the leading brand builders in the industry, responsible for several prestigious and iconic brands including Estée Lauder, Clinique and Prescriptives.

“Brand building and globalisation are on the minds of many in the industry” says Jill Birkett, HBA’s brand director of beauty & wellness. “Dan Brestle’s keynote will provide inspiration and food for thought.”

The three-day conference programme accompanies the show that will run from 28-30 June 2011 at New York’s Jacob K Javits Convention Centre. A new feature at this year’s event will be the Trend Zone, featuring HBA’s New Products Innovation Showcase as well as Mintel’s Innovating Trends Showcase plus make-up demonstrations at a Trend Spot.
