Evonik to exhibit at Brazilian cosmetic ingredients show

Published: 17-May-2011

Evonik will be exhibiting at this year’s FCE Cosmetique in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 24-26 May where it will be exhibiting the latest additions to its personal care products portfolio.

The company recently extended its line of biotechnologically-derived esters to include Tegosoft AC, an all-natural emollient based on renewable feedstocks that combines a light and luxurious skin feel with low-energy enzymatic technology, making it gentle on the environment as well as the skin.

For formulators looking for PEG-free thickeners, there is Antil SPA 80, described as a highly efficient and easy-to-process material which provides a stable viscosity across a broad range of temperatures while boosting sensory, conditioning and foam properties. Rewopol SB C 55 is a preservative and sulphate-free sulfosuccinate and is said to be ideal for use in mild rinse-off applications, such as baby and facial care products, providing superior foaming and requiring lower levels of thickeners compared to many other surfactants.

Also on show will be Abil EM 180, Evonik’s latest, most robust w/o emulsifier; Tegosoft XC, which improves UV filter solubility to enable SPF boosting: Tego Pep4-Even, a new tetrapeptide to balance skin tone; and granular viscosity adjuster Tego Carbomer 141.

Evonik will also be exhibiting its new ingredients at the HPCI Congress to be held from 1-2 June in Istanbul, Turkey.
