Going forwards, NBTY will be called The Nature's Bounty Co, a name selected to reflect commitment to wellness

NBTY, the parent company of Holland & Barrett and Organic Doctor, has announced it is rebranding its corporate name to The Nature’s Bounty Co.

The name change has been made to more accurately reflect the company’s commitment to global wellness by leveraging science and nature.

Steve Cahillane, President and CEO of The Nature's Bounty Co., said: “Our company and our brands have a long and rich history that we can trace back 145 years to the inception of our Holland & Barrett business.

“The deep-seated and positive brand equity that comes with the Nature's Bounty name is a great strength in the minds of our customers, our consumers and our associates.

“The time is right to embrace the name of our flagship brand as we continue our mission to make wellness attainable for people around the world."

Products sold by the company include vitamins, supplements, sports and active nutrition, and ethical beauty.

The company sells more than 16,000 products in over 100 countries.
