The Role:

The role of NPD & Packaging Coordinator is responsible for assisting the NPD Manager in all aspects of new product development. This will include sourcing components, new packaging development, compliance management and managing and tracking timelines, whilst contributing to the company’s overall NPD Strategy.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for skincare and holistic therapies combined with experience of working with a luxury brand. You must be self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach to tasks with strong project management skills ideally from the skincare or beauty environment.

Experience in sourcing components and packaging through third party suppliers is essential, along with the ability to manage your time effectively and cope with a wide range of demands in a rapidly expanding company. In addition to the above, excellent communication skills and strong IT/administration skills are vitally important.

The Responsibilities:

Manage the daily running of new product development coordination tools including schedules, checklists and critical paths.

Prepare for and schedule all NPD meetings and manage NPD tools in the meetings (schedules, budgets, checklists and trackers) as required. Update and monitor all related actions and ensure timely completion.

Possess strong project planning skills to manage and track project timelines and critical paths to achieve launch timings and identify risks to ensure the successful launch of all new products.

Work alongside the chemists to support the management of new formulation testing and internal and external user trials in line with the project timelines.

Source, develop and project manage non-skincare product lines.

Co-ordinate efficacy testing with the testing houses in line with the project timelines.

Assist with all aspects of compliance management to ensure all new products meet required standards and documentation is maintained.

Source components as required and work closely with manufacturers to deliver the goods whilst developing long- term relationships with key suppliers; chemists, our factory and external suppliers.

Track and monitor all costs in conjunction with individual NPD projects to ensure costs are kept within budget.

As required, evaluate trends and carry out competitor research at a field and desk level for new projects.

Assist with briefing the formulators on new concepts and sourcing of components, including alltechnical data.

Track the receipt of new product samples, and how these are distributed within the business whilst co-ordinating user trials. Provide support to the users and request prompt feedback.

Support with the accurate and timely provision of key information and new packaging development ensuring all packaging for new launches are in place in a timely manner prior to start date ready for pre-production trials.

Coordinate a range of packaging related activities, track the receipt of new packaging samples and co-ordinate with the chemist testing requirements.

Co-ordinate with the Studio for all new or existing packaging / artwork from creation, proofing and standards approval.
