Kyowa Hakko Chemical to become KH Neochem

American subsidiary marks 1st anniversary with name change


Tokyo based chemicals company Kyowa Hakko Chemical Co Ltd will officially change its name to KH Neochem Ltd on 1 April 2012. At the same time, exactly one year after its inception, subsidiary Kyowa Hakko Chemical Americas Inc will be renamed KH Neochem Americas Inc. The US business will continue to operate from its current corporate offices in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Commenting on the change, KH Neochem Americas’ president Jiro Suezawa said: “This transition marks another milestone in our emerging markets in the Americas. While our name may have changed, we remain dedicated to making significant contributions to the productivity and financial success of the many clients and industries we serve. With those goals in mind, KH Neochem Americas will offer the highest quality products available, while operating with even greater cost efficiency, responsiveness and flexibility.”

KH Neochem Americas’ product line includes synthetic fatty acids, speciality diols, functional monomers and other high performance chemicals based on proprietary synthesis.
