The brand has launched a DIY version that requires soaking in a hydrosol

British skin care brand 001 Skincare is tapping into the Asian trend for sheet masks with the launch of its Silk Skin Mask Sheets (£35).

The DIY mask sheets are designed to be soaked by the user in a hydrosol product before use; 001 Skincare recommends using its new Rosa Damascena Essence Mist (which launches in April) or Pure Hydrolat Lavender Toner. Once the mask is soaked – a jar comes with each mask for this purpose – the user can apply it to their face. The masks feature 2ndSKN technology and are said to merge with the skin’s natural proteins to infuse the active ingredients.

Ada Ooi, Founder of 001 Skincare, said: “When you put a mask on your skin occlusion causes a decrease in water evaporation, increasing the water content in your skin. Our silk sheet face mask gives a deep hit of hydration, plumping the skin and gifting it with a burst of radiance.”
