The company hopes to help consumers who are looking for human contact

AI-powered skin care recommendation website HelloAva has launched a new video consultation platform as more consumers turn to online services during the coronavirus outbreak.

To access the service, users can take the company’s skin care quiz via helloava.co, which asks a series of questions relating to skin type, age and routine goals.

Customers can opt to sign up for a video consultation with one of HelloAva’s estheticians before having their products shipped.

Speaking to Cosmetics Business Siqi Mou, HelloAva’s CEO and co-founder, said that many consumers are looking for human contact at this time.

“It’s clear that everyone is looking for that human connection during this unprecedented time in the world and our team truly feels honoured to be able to make someone’s day brighter even in the smallest way, that extends just beyond skin care needs.

“In turn, our users have been wonderful and put smiles on the faces of our customer and skin advisor teams.”

Mou said the company was making an effort to connect with its current users to offer tips and advice on how to keep their skin healthy.

"We also offer more self-care and self-love tips to give our clients the emotional support they need during this global pandemic,” she added.

Mou also warned that there might be delays in shipping due to the virus.
