Aarts Plastics awarded gold medal rating in EcoVadis CSR assessment

Sustainability demands are expanding and companies today are not buying and negotiating based only on price any more. More and more large corporations are under immense pressure from stakeholders to be transparent about their sustainability and CSR practices, and this includes their supply chains.

Recognising the need for transparency regarding sustainability Aarts Plastics started in 2012 working on their sustainability program. During the last years the company, based in the Netherlands, have been assessed by Ecovadis already several times and in 2014 it was silver medal awarded. This year, in June 2016, the company participated in the EcoVadis corporate social responsibility evaluation program. Following an analysis of CSR practices based on 21 criteria, Aarts Plastics have received a Gold medal rating, the highest possible CSR Performance medal from EcoVadis, a result achieved in 2016 by only 5% among the many companies evaluated worldwide by EcoVadis.

The areas assessed include Environment, Labor Practices and Human Rights, Fair Business Practices, and Responsible & Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis can provide reliable CSR ratings and scorecards covering 110 countries built on 3 pillars: People, Process and Platform.
