AkzoNobel completes purchase of Boxing Oleochemicals 11-Jan-2012

AkzoNobel has completed its acquisition of Chinese speciality surfactants producer, Boxing Oleochemicals. Boxing supplies nitrile amines and derivatives and the purchase will strengthen AkzoNobel’s position in Asia.

“The acquisition of Boxing quickly positions us to respond to the increasing demand for amines and derivatives with a third of Asian demand coming from China alone,” commented Bob Margevich, md, AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry. “It also reaffirms our commitment to located production closer to our customers. Boxing is a perfect fit for our technology and its site provides us with a sound manufacturing platform.”
