Amazon Prime Now offers 1hr beauty product delivery slots

Independent Chicago store, Merz Apothecary, will offer delivery from 8am-midnight

Amazon has added its first beauty brand to its Prime Now service in the US. The online retailer has teamed up with independent store Merz Apothecary to offer one-hour delivery slots for personal care items.

Merz Apothecary is a popular family-run store in Chicago. Anthony Qaiyum, owner, said that the partnership with Prime Now was a natural extension of the brand’s “customer centric approach”.

Qaiyum said: “As the owner of an independent, family-run business, I am especially excited for us to be able to combine our unique products and our expertise in our field with Amazon’s unrivalled delivery operations.”

Prime Now already offers many products from the Amazon website, as well as local restaurant and grocery deliveries. One hour delivery slots cost $7.99 while the two-hour delivery option is free.

The Prime Now service is available from 8am to midnight, seven days a week in the Chicago area.

Merz Apothecary offers natural beauty and health products in Chicago. The business was owned by the Merz family for three generations before being purchased by the Qaiyum family in 1972.
