The e-commerce retailer is reaching to more international inventors

Amazon has announced the expansion of its Launchpad website for Canadian and Indian customers. Previously only available for Western shoppers, the site is solely dedicated to start-ups and crowdfunded companies.

The company has worked with more than 100 leading global venture capital firms and starting accelerators, allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase interesting inventions from international companies in a variety of product categories, including beauty.

"We are delighted to offer Canadian customers a variety of amazing products from some of the most inventive startups funded by renowned venture capital firms," said Mike Strauch, Amazon.ca Country Manager.

Featured Amazon Launchpad products include Go-Comb: a travel friendly wallet comb and bottle opener for men; a Click n Curl hairbrush set, and a 'compostable' toothbrush.

“India has great minds which invent amazing products and we will support their growth by helping customers discover their new products not just in India but also across the world,” said Amazon India Country Manager, Amit Agarwal.
