Aston Chemicals are delighted to announce that from 1st December 2014 we will be the exclusive distributor of Rockwood Rheology modifiers


Aston Chemicals are delighted to announce that from 1st December 2014 we will be the exclusive distributor of Rockwood Rheology modifiers in the UK and Ireland for Cosmetics and Personal Care.

Aston Chemicals is also the UK and Ireland distributor for Eckart, who will be managing the European personal care distribution of the former Rockwood Additives products on behalf of Byk Additives and the Altana Group. The partnership between Aston Chemicals and Eckart will enable us to combine the Rockwood product range with Aston’s formulation expertise and high levels of technical support and customer service.

Rockwood’s rheology modifiers provide benefits such as dispersion stabilization, anti-syneresis, anti-settling, and shear thinning. The product trade names that will now be available from Aston Chemicals are Laponite (Synthetic clays), Gelwhite, Optigel (Natural Clays), Tixogel (Organoclay) and Garamite.
