Azelis announces structural changes

Azelis has announced the appointment of Joan Traynor as md of all Azelis UK operations, comprising Chance & Hunt (including Brown & Gillmer), S. Black UK and Broste UK. The appointment forms part of an overall strategic reorganisation programme designed to achieve significant growth targets and means Neil Berry (previously md of S. Black Ltd) can now devote all his time to the role of international business director for Azelis Personal Care.

Traynor joined Azelis when Chance and Hunt was acquired in 2002 and has been md of Chance and Hunt since 2005.

“By maximizing synergies and leveraging our strengths it is my aim to enhance our position as the premier distributor of innovative ingredients for personal care,” says Berry. “Joan will further augment the strong team at S. Black and provide the leadership to enable the local company to thrive.”

S. Black business unit managers remain as Andrew Raybould for personal care, Stephen Ayles for fragrance ingredients, Peter Hardy for food and nutrition and Trevor Bridger for healthcare.

The Azelis Group comprises 36 companies, operates in 26 European countries and has offices in Shanghai, Mumbai and Moscow.
