New automated machines will contain 30 products for consumers to buy at major airports including JFK, Austin and Las Vegas

Encouraging consumers to “touch up before touch down”, Benefit Cosmetics (LVMH) is set to unveil 25 retail kiosks in major US airports this autumn.

The new Glam Up & Away automated machines, which will be located in airports including JFK, Austin and Las Vegas, will contain 30 Benefit products including they’re real! mascara, the POREfessional primer and travel friendly make-up kits. As well as buying products, consumers will also be able to browse tips and tricks about make-up application on a graphic user interface. Jean Andre Rougeot, CEO at Benefit, said: “High traffic airports are the next beauty battleground for prestige cosmetics brands. Benefit is grabbing first mover advantage.”

To create the kiosks, Benefit partnered with ZoomSystems, a technology and services company specialising in the automated retail channel. Jack Lawrence, President & CEO at ZoomSystems, said: “With this ground breaking partnership, ZoomSystems and Benefit Cosmetics are giving travellers on-the-go access to the beauty products they need and love.”
