US high-end department store Bloomingdale’s is due to take its first steps into Hawaii.

The new 165,000sqft store, located at Ala Moana in Honolulu on the island of O’ahu, will open on 12 November. It will offer a wide variety of brands spanning fashion, beauty and homeware. The store is also the first to bring Burberry’s new Burberry Beauty range to Hawaii.

Consumers will be able to combine their shopping trips with a bit of pampering too, as the new store also contains private cosmetic treatment rooms on-site. The main cosmetics and fragrance department is situated on the ground floor and will include brands such as Jo Malone, Tom Ford Private Blend fragrances, La Prairie and Sisley. It is also catering for those who want to shop for Korean beauty with brands such as Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Iope.

Tony Spring, Chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale's, said: “Entering the Hawaiian market in the newly-expanded Ala Moana Center is truly a special milestone for Bloomingdale’s. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to offer local and visiting customers a tailored assortment of contemporary and luxury merchandise along with a shopping experience like no other."
