Virtual reality advert promotes Tilbury’s new fragrance, Scent of a Dream

Charlotte Tilbury is promoting the launch of its first fragrance, Scent of a Dream, with a virtual reality video starring Kate Moss.

Viewers can move around in the space setting, viewing 360º of the advert as Kate Moss, Canadian actor Nathan Mitchell and Tilbury herself all appear.

The interactive video can be viewed on YouTube (see clip above) on mobile and desktop, or with Samsung Gear and Google Cardboard. Visitors to selected Nordstrom, Bergdorf and Bloomingdale’s stores will be able to experience the using virtual reality pods.

Tilbury told Allure: “Virtual reality offers you the change to completely immerse yourself in another world, and to be transported into a totally different space and time, and my new fragrance, Scent of a Dream, is all about discovering a portal to another universe and changing the energy frequency of the people and environment around you.”

Tilbury added: “I wanted people to feel as though they’re truly surrounded by the alluring characters of my hypnotic, other-worldly film and be totally immersed in the euphoric atmosphere of a wild, glamorous party. I wanted it to be thrilling, real and intense.”

The ad was created in conjunction with Happy Finish and shot using the Nokia Ozo virtual reality camera on the same set as the main fragrance advert.
