For the Christmas season, Clinique is due to release a make-up collection named after Tchaikovsky's ballet, The Nutcracker. The collection is inspired by the colourful costumes worn by the American Ballet Theatre’s production.

It consists of The Nutcracker Act I Compact ($36), evoking the Dance of the Snowflakes. This comprises the Snowflake Suite eyeshadow quad in soft pinks and darks, and a light pink Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Plié Pink, along with a double-ended eyeshadow brush and a blusher brush.

Meanwhile, The Nutcracker Act II Compact ($36), evokes the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy. It includes the Sugar Plum Suite eye shadow quad in shades of plum, shimmer white and silver, a flushed pink shade of Blushing Blush Powder Blush called Tutu Pink, and the same two brushes.

The Nutcracker Blended Face Powder in Snowflake Dreams ($24) – a pink sparkling powder for use on the shoulders, neck and chest. Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm ($17), with mango butter, shea butter and antioxidants. There are two shades: Budding Blossom to complement the Act I compact and Flowering Freesia to complement the Act II compact. The products will be available in limited edition from 1 December onwards at Clinique counters and online.
