Third quarter earnings have slumped 17% for Colgate-Palmolive causing the company to slash its per-share earnings projection for the full year.

The profits pressure is not sales – which have picked up over the last year – but restructuring expenses for the group (specifically its four-year Global Growth and Efficiency Program).
