Since the news that Coty had outbid its competition for P&G's beauty brands last weekend, according to the New York Post, there is still no confirmation of a Coty-P&G deal, although one does look imminent.
Attention is turning to how Coty would finance a deal and how this deal would affect the company's profits. “If we assume just the mass cosmetics, body care and fragrance pieces, it's about $5bn. That would double Coty's base of revenues,” Steph Wissink, Senior Analyst at M&A specialist Piper Jaffray, told Cosmetics Business.
