D&G turns up the intensity with new scent

Luxury Italian fashion label Dolce & Gabbana (P&G Prestige) is releasing a new fragrance this month which offers an intense twist on its popular Pour Femme fragrance.

The new Dolce & Gabbana Intense is said to take inspiration from the “richness and depth” of the brand’s signature edp, opening with neroli and green mandarin before moving into a floral heart of white flowers, orange blossom and tuberose. Finally, the dry down reveals sandalwood, musk and creamy guimauve.

The fragrance is housed in the signature Pour Femme bottle, which has been updated with opaque burgundy glass and topped off with a solid gold collar with burgundy cap. The outer packaging, meanwhile, is covered in dark burgundy velvet, which is said to pay homage to the velvet drapery found in ancient Sicilian palaces.

The fragrance will be fronted by French supermodel Laetitia Casta, who has been described by brand founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as “the perfect embodiment of the quintessential Dolce & Gabbana woman”. She stars in an ad campaign shot by Mario Testino, opposite Canadian model Noah Mills. Intense edp will be priced from £45/25ml. It will be accompanied by an ancillary line of products comprising body lotion, shower gel and body cream, priced between £33 and £55.
