The German sun care brand is looking to tap into 'open-minded' consumers in new markets

German sun care brand dr. skin’s is on an expansion trail. Already present in its home market and neighbouring regions Austria and Switzerland, the brand recently announced its UK debut.

Dr Justinus Wagner, CEO and Founder of dr. skin’s, told CBN: “The UK is one of the most growing markets worldwide in food supplements and beauty products.

“Overall, the UK is one of the most innovative countries with a special approach to this sector and open-minded customers that are interested in new and innovative products.

“After launching dr.skin’s in Germany, Austria and Switzerland the next strategically important step is to expand on the English worldwide market via the UK.”

But it is not just the UK that dr. skin’s has its sights set on. The brand also revealed it is currently launching its products in China, Japan and Russia.

Dr. skin’s product offering is based around just two skus, which combine to form a unique Sun Care Concept.

The product duo includes a nutricosmetic drink for internal benefits and a complementary sunscreen for use on skin. The brand’s nutricosmetic sku, Sun Drink, is formulated with lycopene, beta carotene, vitamins and minerals, and is said to taste like orange juice.

Recommended for use in combination with the drink is dr skin’s Sun Care lotion. It provides UVA and UVB filters, as well as vitamin E and aloe vera gel to provide skin with added moisture.
