EU Scientific committee gives ok on two more hair dye chemicals 22-Jul-2011

The EU’s scientific committee on consumers safety has declared two more hair dye chemicals largely safe, if used with care.

HC Blue, it said is prone to nitrosation and so should not be used in combination with nitrosating substances. It had the same concern about hydroxyethyl-2-nitro-p-toluidine, adding this also has “possible sensitising potential”.
