Elevance increases production of speciality chemicals 20-May-2011

Elevance Renewable Sciences has significantly increased its production of speciality chemicals made from renewable feed stocks. Its production run has increased from 20 tonnes to 50 tonnes due to customer demand for larger volumes of renewable products. Speciality chemicals produced using this method include alpha olefins and novel esters.

“There is an increased demand from customers for larger volumes of renewable products in anticipation of our bio-refinery start-up at the end of this year,” commented K’Lynne Johnson, ceo. “The production campaign provides our customers with product to continue their qualification and development time lines”
