The spa and beauty behemoth has bought its second on-demand beauty business

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa has acquired CityMani, an on-demand nail treatment company.

The acquisition follows Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa’s takeover of on-demand nail and hair services business Manicube In November last year.

Visitors to the former CityMani website are now being redirected to Manicube’s homepage, after displaying a brief message that reads: “CityMani has been acquired and you can now enjoy services from Manicube, a division of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.”

On the holding page, a comment from CityMani’s Co-Founder Erika London reads: “We founded CityMani to turn the luxury of a fresh manicure into a convenience for women with too much on their hands. We are ecstatic that our customers will now be served by Manicube's on-demand business. ”

CityMani offers treatments for private and small group parties, as well as office workers, in New York City, US, although Manicube offers a wider range of services including haircuts and massages.

Speaking about the latest acquisition, Todd Walter, CEO of Red Door Spa Holdings, said: ”We have seen the spa and salon industry evolve into more mobile-oriented, on-demand platforms to better meet the needs of today's busy lifestyle, delivering services and treatments to clients in their homes, hotels, offices and more. Red Door Spa is committed to continuing to advance this category by designing the finest quality services for guests, delivered where and when they need them. I have no doubt that the new Red Door on-demand division will become the next leader in this space."
