Evonik decides to stay In New Jersey

Published: 4-May-2011

Following an extensive search, Evonik Degussa Corporation has decided to stay in New Jersey but will relocate its North American administrative offices to 299 Jefferson Road in Parsippany.

Before selecting this location the company says it evaluated numerous alternatives, including moving out of New Jersey. The decision to remain in the Garden State was made for a variety of reasons, including favorable economics, a highly educated workforce and Parsippany’s excellent transportation and communication links.

“Evonik has called New Jersey home for many years, and the fact that this global company plans to continue growing its business in our state is a positive indicator for future growth," said Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, the state‘s point-person for economic development. "The company’s investment is yet another indication that our administration's commitment to making New Jersey even more attractive to new and existing businesses is working.”

The relocation is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2011.
