Evonik to build production plant in Brazil 22-Dec-2011

Evonik has announced plans to build a new production facility for a wide range of ingredients for cosmetics and consumer goods in the Brazilian state of São Paulo.

The new facility will have a production facility of over 25,000 metric tonnes per year and start up is scheduled for early 2014.

“The aim of this project is to establish production in Americana to improve our ability to serve the market in Brazil and South America,” commented Patrik Wohlhauser, member of Evonik’s executive board responsible for the consumer, health & nutrition segment and the South America region.

The company has an existing service and logistics centre in Brazil, in Guarulhos where it intends to step activities in the future.
