A Highly sort after personal care and cosmetic retailer is looking for an experienced technical candidate to join their Product Development team for their own brand cosmetic category. The role will be developing and nurturing relationships with external suppliers using technical knowledge from the beauty industry.
Reporting into the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for project management and the delivery of NPD with strategic technical support. The role will have the following responsibilities:
- Delivering successful NPD project plans
- Benchmarking competitors with resultant actions
- Devising the own label product ranges
- Setting out all the technical, legal and supplier requirements
- Strong product quality management
- Managing and developing strong supplier relations
- Accountability for the compliance of all products in the category

- Educated to Degree level in a relevant science
- Strong communication skills from an internal and external perspective
- Varied scope in product knowledge – i.e. Hygiene, cosmetics, hair care & skincare
- Strong understanding from a commercial perspective
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
- Ability to influence at different hierarchical levels in the business
- Strong exposure to suppliers and developing relationships
- Passionate about the cosmetics and health care industry.
