Expands natural colour and nutrition ingredients portfolio


FMC Corporation has agreed to acquire Chilean natural colour and speciality nutrition ingredients supplier South Pole Biogroup Ltda. The transaction will further expand FMC’s portfolio of naturally sourced speciality products for industries including personal care and nutrition.

“South Pole Biogroup is an innovation leader in the natural colour and health ingredients industry,” commented Mike Smith, division general manager, FMC BioPolymer. “This transaction brings a remarkable portfolio of natural colour formulation, product application expertise and ingredient extraction capabilities to FMC customers and partners around the world.”

The acquisition has been described as another critical step in FMC’s 2015 growth strategy.
