Beauty tech brand partners with conservation charities Sea Life Trust and Green Wave

Swedish beauty brand Foreo has recruited a group of beauty bloggers to help promote its Save The Sea campaign.

The brand took 40 influential bloggers from across EMEA to Croatia in a bid to highlight the country’s beautiful coast locations. The bloggers spent four days sailing around the Croatian islands of Vis and Hivar.

The campaign was also promoted online using the hashtags #FOREOcruise and #SaveTheSea, with many of the bloggers posting about the trip on their websites.

The company has created a special edition of its Luna mini 2 cleansing device to help support the campaign.

Proceeds from the sale of the Save The Sea edition will all be donated to the Sea Life Trust and Green Wave – two charities focused on conservation and marine rehabilitation. The device features a design showing two white turtles and is packaged in 100% recyclable materials printed using soy ink.

Forea said that the sea, beach and water are all “natural gifts” worth fighting for.

Paul Peros, CEO at Foreo, told Cosmetics Business: “Green Wave and Sea Life Trust are the biggest charities when it comes to marine preservation and it is an absolute honour to be able to cooperate with them on an important project like this one.”

Peros added: “Partnering with bloggers is a great way to raise the awareness about this topic in the hope that they can motivate the people around them. After all, they have such an influential voice.”

The Luna Mini Save The Sea Limited Edition is available for £119 at foreo.com. The device is said to deliver cleaner, brighter skin after just three days of use. The silicone design is designed to be more hygienic than nylon-bristled products and does not require replacement heads.
