Grupo Ubesol are one of Spain’s leading manufacturers for the Household and Personal care industries, holding market share across many categories. Since acquiring two key players in the Spanish manufacturing market they have built an impressive product portfolio that is recognised across the globe.
Their story began as a small manufacturing site that solely produced cleaning products. Grupo Ubesol now employ 720 people in sites across Valencia, Madrid and Tarragona and produce products for key suppliers such as Mercadona (Spain’s biggest supermarket) within home and personal care. They have recently refurbished their R&D Centre, offering state of the art technologies and facilities on site.
Due to their continuing success and expansion Grupo Ubesol now seeks a Formulation Manager who specialises in Hair care to help drive the category forward.
Reporting directly to the R&D General Manager you will be responsible for the management of all Hair care projects including launches, product development and innovation. This will cover all ranges within the Hair care categories including styling, hygiene and treatment. Working cross-functionally across all R&D departments you will be the key Technical contact. All external collaborations from a Technical perspective will also be communicated through yourself. You will be managing the performance screening and consumer trials with salon stylists to ensure it is a commercially viable product. This opportunity also includes the management of up to 3 scientists to push forward with the category and company.
The perfect candidate for Grupo Ubesol would look like the following:
- Educated to a Degree level in a relevant scientific discipline
- Background in the Hair care industry is imperative with around 8+ years’ experience working in development on various product formulas.
- Strong knowledge of Styling, Treatment and Hygiene products
- Deep understanding of the raw materials industry
- European exposure is vital however all experience global would also be beneficial.
- The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects and managing a team of scientists.
- Passionate and driven individual that looks at the future of the company.
