Fragrance Marketing Manager – North - £45-65,000

We are looking for a fragrance and consumer goods expert with a truly international vision to drive the global marketing of our fragrance brand.

You will use your marketing degree and extensive international experience in global consumer research and brand management to connect and influence growth in European, Asian and African markets.

You will bring both passion and energy to this senior marketing role, be able to balance short term immediate deliverables and longer term strategies whilst working within a multi located team structure and relish the thought of around 30% international travel.

This role has a high degree of budget responsibility so it is essential you have run and managed budgets and understand P&L. You must have previous success with promoting fragrance and flavour compounds, truly understand perfumery and evaluation techniques and have experience with personal, home and laundry consumer products.

You must have experience of working with a wide range of consumer market research techniques, including qualitative, quantitative and continuous research, you must also be highly versed in social media platforms.

Creative and courageous, you are able to work on your own initiative and drive brand breakthroughs. An excellent communicator who can be decisive and accountable and pass on your passion to the global team.

You will be accountable for the creation and delivery of our Brand strategy and delivering the marketing support to our personal and homecare Brand teams as well as our external customers.

You will provide superior consumer and category insights for fragrance that opens up opportunities to create differentiation and growth across our product portfolio.

You will work closely with the perfumery and evaluation team, account managers, global and regional heads of brand, Regional Insight, Commercial and R&D/Technical leaders.

Creating a winning 5 Year Marketing Strategy that delivers future profitable growth through identifying appropriate marketing plans to support both our fragrance and global brand projects. Provide marketing support to our regions to help them deliver their 2 years business plans for product development and product launches.

Monitor global fragrance trends, competitor and market activity to identify gaps & opportunities. Provide proactive and reactive fragrance expertise to identify global and regional trends, technology and consumer dynamics for all personal, home care and laundry categories.

Define the brand strategy, including the brand personality, brand positioning, brand architecture, sub-brands and labels. Act as guardian of the brand, maintaining & developing the core essence of the brand across all points of contact. Lead the creation of brand marketing collateral (including both traditional and digital campaigns) and using appropriate tools raise the profile of the brand.
