During seven exclusive workshops, attendees to in-cosmetics can learn all they need to know about the latest developments and challenges across topics ranging from worldwide regulatory affairs and anti-ageing to cosmetic microbiology and hair care science.

Attendees can book in advance to ensure a place on these popular workshops to hear experts in their fields give practical advice on some of the industry’s most talked about topics.

Kicking off the programme, CONUSBAT is running two workshops on Worldwide Regulatory Affairs that take a look at fast-evolving cosmetic regulatory frameworks across the globe. Formulating products that meet requirements across markets is complex and these sessions have been designed to offer unique insights into the latest updates, as well as how regions such as Asia, the USA and Europe differ.

Consumers are always seeking the next big thing for reducing the visible appearance of ageing, and the Anti-ageing Workshop on day one seeks to update attendees on the latest ingredient trends in this area. Six presentations explore where opportunities for growth lie, as well as offer the most up-to-date scientific thinking on efficacy and cutaneous ageing.

Completing the programme on the first day is Perry Romanowski’s workshop on Cosmetic Formulation Optimisation, where he’ll share his tricks of the trade. Here, attendees will learn about techniques that junior and senior formulators can use to solve real-world product development challenges right from the basics of formulation to specific methods for optimising products.

On day two, visitors can expect informative workshops on hair care and cosmetic microbiology. In the morning, the Hair Science in Cosmetic Research workshop will examine hair care ingredients and cellular mechanisms for hair growth, as well as techniques used to develop hair care formulations. Following this, the Cosmetic Microbiology workshop will shine a spotlight on the opportunities and threats presented by microorganisms in cosmetics products.

Closing the workshop programme on day three, Judi Beerling at Organic Monitor is running a session on Formulating using Green Ingredients. During this, organisations can gain advice and guidance on the ingredient toolkit available, as well as technical challenges that must be overcome when formulating green products.
