Gattefosse, a manufacturer of specialty ingredients for the personal care industry, has opened a new technical centre of excellence in India.
The centre is located in Mumbai and is said to reinforce the activity of its affiliate Gattefossé India, run by Sunil Bambarkar. Due to be inaugurated on 11 September, the centre features a state-of-the-art personal care laboratory spanning 3,500sqft.
Olivier Midler, CEO of Gattefossé group, said: “Our growth strategy for the company is based on two main pillars: innovation, by pursuing our significant investments in R&D and product applications; and geographical expansion by developing our business and expertise in new territories. All these efforts to ensure our customers a responsive and adapted service specific to their markets.”
Gattefossé markets its products in more than 60 countries through 12 affiliated companies; 75% of its sales are generated via export markets. Gattefossé was founded in Lyon, France in 1880.
