Global Fragrances and MTV to launch products in India

Deodorants and edts are in line with MTV’s youth category expansion plans


Global Fragrances has entered into a licensing agreement with Viacom 18, the joint venture that operates MTV in India, to launch a range of MTV deodorants and edts.

“MTV is a cult brand that resonates strongly with the youth,” said Somesh Choudhary, managing director of Global Fragrances. “Given our manufacturing and distribution capabilities and MTV’s creative strength, we’re confident of this range doing exceptionally well.”

Sandeep Dahiya, senior vp, consumer products & communications, Viacom 18 added: “We’re excited to tie up with Global Fragrances to enter yet another significant youth category. The launch of an MTV range of deodorants and edts is in line with our plans to expand the MTV franchise across key youth categories.”

The range of four fragrances each for men and women will be launched in August and will be available in over 100,000 retail outlets across the region.
