New York-based expo takes place next week

Over 100 new products are expected to be showcased by exhibitors at 2011’s HBA Global Expo & Conference next week. Exhibiting companies will include primary and secondary packaging suppliers, ingredients suppliers and private label and contract manufacturers, as well as suppliers of brushes, delivery systems and naturals, and for the first time, finished goods.

As well as new products and services on the show floor, attendees will also be able to attend the HBA Global Conference, which covers sessions on marketing, technical advancements, green products and sustainability, international business and skin care.

Highlights will also include a keynote address by PCPC chairman Dan Brestle and a special marketing innovations preview by Mike Indursky, president of Bliss World. There will also be a Trends Pavilion featuring make-up demonstrations from The Doneger Group, Pantone and others, while Mintel will be demonstrating and testing Down to Earth beauty and personal care products.

For visitors the event presents an opportunity to conduct business and gain inspiration. “The life blood of the cosmetic industry is new product, new delivery systems and innovative packaging… without the HBA Expo we would be dependent on individual client/supplier meetings which could limit the scope of our explorations and new product development,” comments Betty Broder, director of product development, Laura Geller Make-up Inc.

Philippe Chansel, director of product development at MAC Cosmetics added: “I am looking forward to attending this year’s HBA because our world is changing so rapidly that it will be interesting to see how suppliers are keeping up with new trends, ideas and innovations to meet this new challenging world.”

HBA runs from 28-30 June at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York.
