The global hair care market continues to be driven by shampoo and conditioner products, the sales of which totalled $34bn in 2014. The majority of European countries fell flat, dragged down by heavy price promotions and a brittle styling market, but there were some glossy results particularly from Russia, the UK’s prestige sector and the conditioner category in the United States.
