Market overview
The hands and nails market experienced varying shades of success across the five review countries. Germany and the UK were in the pink with positive growth, while France, Italy and Spain were left black and blue as sales continued to decline
France It has been a nail-biting time for France since the category started to decline during the first half of 2013. And in 2014 sales of hand and nail products were filed down even further. Results from IRI France, covering sales through hypermarkets/supermarkets for the year to 28 September 2014, revealed a drop of 3.9% to €100.29m.
