Craig-Alexander Wilson, Head of Strategic Development at Fake Bake and Beauty Editor of the Sunday Mail, has been announced as one of the headline acts at UK’s biggest packaging event, taking place at Birmingham’s NEC on 25 and 26 February 2015.

Celebrating its tenth edition Packaging Innovations, with dedicated Ecopack and Contract Pack areas, and co-located with Empack and Label&Print, is boasting a strong beauty focus within the conference programme and on the exhibition floor.

Craig-Alexander, will be revealing the secrets behind the Fake Bake brand. Talking in detail about, ‘Taking a concept and producing a successful and aspirational brand', in the International Brand Summit Theatre on day one of the show.

A self-confessed beauty junkie, Craig-Alexander is make-up artist by trade, but also writes a popular beauty column in Scotland's best selling Sunday Newspaper - the Sunday Mail. These skills have positioned him as one of the most respected beauty experts in the country. Not only that, he has created a collection of beauty ranges to complement the already successful Fake Bake brand.

Starting his career as a promotional makeup artist in retail, Craig-Alexander gained experience working for many high-end beauty brands including Diego Dalla Palma, Benefit Cosmetics and Ralph Lauren. He soon moved into fashion and photographic work, leading to a weekly slot as the Sunday Mail, Beauty Editor, with over 1 million readers.

Craig-Alexander offers a brief insight into his view on the beauty industry, stating: “For me beauty hasn’t always been about being at the end of the makeup brush, but knowing the needs of the person who holds it, the quality of its product and the customer buying it”.

He has experience in multi-level marketing and direct selling as well as being an all round industry insider, which all helped him fit straight in at FakeBake, the UK’s leading salon professional and spray tan brand, as Head of Strategic Development. Craig-Alexander discusses his time so at Fake Bake so far: “It’s the most exciting thing I’ve done in my career and something I’m very proud of. Not just because I created a concept, but because having the support of a global brand has allowed me to create an opportunity for others too. It’s only just the beginning. You could say Brand New!”
