Honeywell and Metabolix offer marine biodegradable polymers

Ingredients

New polymers will help address replacement of microbeads

Manufacturing company Honeywell has partnered with biomaterials company Metabolix to offer marine biodegradable polymers for use in cosmetics and personal care products.

The polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) polymers will join Honeywell’s Asensa line of additives to help address the replacement of non-biodegradable microbeads.
