Automation can help by harmonising systems around data gathering, data analysis and supply chain to enable
a direct and personal relationship with each customer, which is particularly important for specialised areas such as health and beauty. It could help give brands a competitive edge, especially during the critical Christmas season.
Why is automation particularly useful during busy periods, such as Christmas?
Robotic automation can help with some of the traditional operational challenges of the Christmas season, such as managing infrastructure, and testing and retesting everything thoroughly. Automation is key because, with so much happening and so many conflicting priorities, thorough testing of infrastructure has traditionally slipped through the net. Automation offers that testing with far fewer resources. Also, the help desk, customer service and consumer direct connection can all be learned and machine driven.
