How the hipster beard trend is catching on in France

Beards are becoming increasingly popular in France, a new survey has found.

Around 48% of French men now have facial hair, an Ifop survey found. The survey was conducted for men’s brand O’Barbershop during ‘Movember’.

“Around 4% of men over 18 now habitually wear a moustache,” François Kraus, Director of Political Studies at Ifop told Cosmetics Business, “and around 40% have a beard. The proportion of bearded men has risen from 33% in two years.”
