Consumers given tour of fantasy fragrance factory in online clip

Jean Paul Gaultier has debuted a new TV advert for its range of fragrances.

Set in a fantasy factory, the clip uses key brand images, with sailors and corseted models working to produce signature Gaultier fragrances Le Classique and Le Male.

In the clip’s caption, the brand says: “For the very first time, Jean Paul Gaultier is going to let us dive into the JPG Factory and reveal behind the scenes. But, what’s going on in his factory? Robots? Yes. Workers? Yes. Is it boring? Of course not!”

Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld stars in the clip as one of the factory leaders. The 21-year-old has previously starred in campaigns for Calvin Klein’s Sheer Beauty fragrance and Dior Addict.

Gaultier himself also appears in the clip, appearing at the very end of the advert. The factory is revealed to be a miniature, enclosed within a fragrance package, which Gaultier snaps shut, announcing “Closing time!” in French.
