Japanese cosmetics company Kosé Corporation has signed supermodel Kate moss to front its luxury brand Decorté in a multi-year contract.

The company used the occasion to also announce it would be streamlining its name from Cosme Decorte to Decorté.

The Japanese company appointed 41-year-old Moss to feature in its upcoming global advertising campaign, which is slated to be Decorté’s largest to date.

Tying in with the brand’s 45th anniversary, the campaign will launch in September, while Moss will also star in a pre-release, behind the scenes video out in August.

The initial campaign will promote Cosme Decorte’s Moisture Liposome franchise, said to be the best-selling prestige face serum in Japan, as well as the brand’s new Liposome Treatment Liquid.

Moss said: “I love Decorté. The products are amazing. I just tried the intensive moisturiser – it’s incredible. I really want it to come to Europe.” Kosé President & CEO, Kazutoshi Kobayashi added: “During the Decorté brand’s long history, we have established a strong bond and trust with women of Asia based on our innovative and superior formulations. As Decorté starts a new chapter, we are pleased to work with the globally recognized and revered Kate Moss. It’s the perfect pairing.”
