Created by Jérôme Di Marino, the scent is blended with sea salt and tonka bean

Alternative fragrance brand Kenzo has released a new scent to celebrate empowerment and femininity, without using flower accords.

The new Kenzo World Power edp (from £45) is blended with contrasting notes of sea salt and tonka bean, and was formulated by Jérôme Di Marino.

Di Marino represents the next generation of noses and said he wanted to reflect the values of Gen We consumers with the new scent.

He said: “It’s a fragrance without flowers. A reinvented femininity without florality.

“The salty note has been worked in resonance with tonka bean, it then acts as an enhancer of addiction, offering to the delicacy a new and unsweetened form of expression.”

The packaging was inspired by the brand’s latest fashion collection and is housed in an eye shaped bottle with yellow and gold embellishment.

This is the second Power fragrance to be released by the brand.

The scent will be available across the UK from August.
