Curly hairstyles are making a comeback, says survey

The latest results from L'Oréal Paris’ Curly Girl survey indicate that curly hairstyles are making a comeback. The release of the survey results coincide with the launch of L'Oréal Paris’ new EverCurl line – described as its “first to mass sulfate-free hair care system designed for women with curly hair”. The six-piece range is said to provide frizz control while helping to shape and define curls.

According to the survey, which was carried out in partnership with Harris Interactive and involved over 2,000 participants in the US, nearly 80% of women said they would ideally choose wavy/curly hair as their natural hairstyle, while only only 16% said they would opt for straight hair. A further 31% of respondents said that wavy/curly hair made them feel “more unique”.

L'Oréal Paris has invited fans of the brand to discuss the results of its Curly Girl survey and continue the debate on whether they preferred curly or straight hair on Twitter using the #curly or #straight hashtags.
