LVMH perfume and cosmetics revenue up by 4% in Q1 2014

French corporation LVMH records 5% revenue growth in perfume and cosmetics sector


French multinational corporation LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) recorded an overall 4% increase in its revenue for the first quarter of 2014, which totalled €7.2bn. Organic revenue growth was 6% compared to the same period in 2013.

For perfumes and cosmetics specifically, organic revenue growth was 5% in the first quarter of 2014. Popular perfumes J'adore and Miss Dior meant that Christian Dior continued to benefit from the revenue, and make-up contributed to the company's good performance. Guerlain's high end skin care range Abeille Royale was successfully rolled out in Asia and La Petite Robe Noire fragrance continues to be successful. Benefit continued its rapid progress around the world, supported by its innovative product lines, while Fresh expanded rapidly.
