Lancome tops Digital IQ Index

The luxury brand has topped the fifth annual Digital IQ Index for beauty brands

L’Oréal owned luxury beauty brand Lancôme has topped the fifth annual Digital IQ Index for beauty brands from digital think tank L2. The report is said to assess the digital competence of 85 global beauty brands across metrics for site, digital marketing, social media and mobile.

Following Lancôme in second and third place were Kiehl’s and L’Oréal Paris, which are both L’Oréal owned. In equal fourth place was Benefit (LVMH), Bobbi Brown (Estée Lauder) and the Estée Lauder brand. Clinique took seventh place, followed by Aveda, with Bare Escentuals and MAC rounding out the top ten.

According to the report, e-commerce growth in beauty for 2013 is tipped to grow by over 29% by the end of the year.
