Macadamia Professional has unveiled a new line of hair styling products containing omega 7-rich macadamia nut oil. The range comprises: Blow Dry Lotion (£19.25 for 198ml), to reduce breakage and provide thermal protection during styling; Foaming Volumizer (£18.60 for 180ml), a whipped non-sticky mousse, providing hair with body, lift and shine; two curl creams (both 148ml for 18.60) – a lightweight variant, Activating Curl Cream, to support soft fine curls and Taming Curl Cream, to control and define unruly curls; Texturizing Salt Spray (125ml for £19.95), to add a beach-wave texture to hair; and Whipped Detailing Cream (57g for £19.25), to tame flyaways and provide a finished look.
In addition, there are five new hairsprays for all styling needs. Style Extend Dry Shampoo is infused with mineral rich volcanic ash, which refreshes without leaving a powdery residue; Anti-Humidity Spray provides a water resistant barrier to keep hair frizz-free; Flexible Hold Shaping Hairspray imparts workability and control; Style Lock Strong Hold Hairspray is for long lasting hold; and Tousled Texture Finishing Spray boosts volume and adds texture thanks to the inclusion of zeolite, a resin derived from volcanic minerals.
The new styling range comes hot on the heels of Macadamia Professional's repositioning as an “authority on global textures” and the launch of three hair care and treatment collections: Weightless Moisture for fine hair; Nourishing Moisture for medium to coarse hair textures; and Ultra Rich Moisture for very coarse, thick or curly hair. Among the hero products in these three collections is Weightless Moisture Dry Oil Micro Mist (£28.50 for 142g), which is claimed to smooth fine, flyaway hair without any heaviness.
