Mandarin Oriental introduces Digital Detox for spa-goers

The spas will offer resources for the digitally over-exposed helping them to regain mindfulness such as colouring books and meditation pillows

The Mandarin Oriental has launched a global digital detox initiative to help to give guests a break from technology.

Collaborating with the Mayo Clinic, the two brands aim to help guests lead less technology-driven, healthier lives.

The programme, which includes a new programme named the Digital Detox Retreat, will be implemented in all Mandarin Oriental Spas worldwide and offers tips and advice on how to take breaks from technology.

“The rise of mobile technology has brought great advances, but as our technology use increases, we are paying a toll in well-being physically, mentally and emotionally,” Jeremy McCarthy, Group Director of Spa and Wellness told Cosmetics Business.
